My Baby Girl's Soon To Be Friend

My friend let me practice taking some pictures of her baby girl, who is sooo cute! It was a lot of fun taking these ones. She's a little old for the newborn poses, but still too young to really sit up or anything. She could barely lift her head long enough and I think we got her mad at us for making her try. A Little Photo Action

So I realize one of the reasons I have this camera is cuz my husband loves his football pictures. :) This camera is so much better than our old one for the fact that when it gets a little dim outside it doesn't automatically stop working for me, I can zoom in nice and close to Scott with the telephoto lens he got me, it has a faster shutter speed to catch the action, and it's basically just much better than our little point and shoot. These are some of my favorites. :)

Trying out a Little Bokeh

Personally I love taking pictures of people more than of objects, but I had fun trying to take pictures of my blanket and our blog book, trying to make them look good. I was trying to work on the whole bokeh (I think that's what it's called) affect where you have a part in focus, but the background is all blurry.

Learning To Work With Kids

I'm so grateful to have close family who will let me practice on them! My nieces are adorable and I love them both so much, but I definitely learned I need to be quick with the camera to catch the pose and smile that I worked to get in the first place! They were on the go the whole time! :)

My Sister

Since I'm new at this and still figuring out how to use my SLR camera, my sister was kind enough to let me practice on her. These are a few of my favorites. :)
