Kerbys

I took these pictures for my sister and her family a few weeks ago. She wanted some updated pictures of herself and her family for her website. Luckily, it was actually a pretty nice day out and it was warm enough to do them outside. :)

Hiatt Family

I took these a while ago, but I've been so busy lately and our computer was getting slower and slower so I put off working on and posting them. We got a new laptop with our tax refund though and it's amazing how much faster and easier it is now to use photoshop, so I'm finally getting around to these. :) My sister and her family came to visit after Christmas and I got to take pictures of them all again. It was fun, although I miss summer and warm weather so much! It's hard to come up with places to take pictures inside and I'm still working on getting the right lighting inside, but it was still good practice and so much fun! :)

Lia and Ryan and their beautiful girls

My sister wanted some fall family photos so we drove up Payson canyon and found some beautiful fall colors! I've taken pictures of my nieces before, but I loved getting the chance to take pictures of their whole family. They are a beautiful family. It was so much fun. :)

Jake, Katie and Leah

This month my friends let me practice on them and I was able to take some family photos for them. They also wanted some more recent pictures of their little girl so I had fun chasing another little one year old around. :) I had a lot of fun with this photoshoot and we went to two new locations that made them even more fun and different for me. Here are a few of my favorites! :)

Reunion

At my recent family reunion I was put in charge of taking the family photos. I have never organized such a large group before so it was fun to try my hand at that. It was a little challenging to place everyone in a large group, and I worred about where I was going to run into the picture and place myself, but I think they turned out surprisingly well! :) The kids were all so good and looked right at the camera and most of them even smiled. :) After the family photo I took just a few of the individual families for my parents but we were short on time so I didn't get everyone.

Can You Tell?

My friend asked me to take their family pictures for them a while ago and last week I was able to do them. It was a lot of fun and like all my photoshoots, I learned tons! Her little girl turned one that day so we made sure to get a bunch of pictures of her. She is such a cutie. :) When taking family photos it's still difficult for me to get one of everybody looking and smiling. Sometimes I think you just have to swap heads around... can you tell which head I swapped in the bottom family photo? :)

Heather's Family

I had the opportunity to take pictures of my sister Heather and her cute family this weekend. My sister and her husband have two adorable children and one on the way. My niece and nephew have so much energy, they were running around everywhere during the photo shoot. I wish they could have shared some of that energy with me! :) I wasn't able to get one family photo with them all looking and smiling in the same direction, but I did get some fun shots of them all. These are the ones I like best. :)

Family of Four

Scott's friend from work asked me to take pictures of his family. I was way excited to be taking pictures for a family, and one not related to me either for that matter! I was also super nervous though. Besides some shadows which were caused by the time of day we went, I think these turned out pretty good. I hope they work for them. We tried to be quick, cuz even though it was actually super nice weather, it was still a bit cold for their cute baby!

Family Photos

I was lucky during the holiday to have family in town... which meant more test subjects for me! :) It was new for me trying to take group family photos. I have a lot to learn about positioning families or multiple people, but they were great to let me practice on them! :)
