My sister has become quite the model for me. :) The first time I took pictures of her were for her graduation announcement and both her and I had no clue what we were doing. Now, she'll do whatever I tell her to do with a big smile (even if some of the things I've told her to do are pretty silly and didn't turn out exactly as cool like I thought they would!) I'm just glad she's a good sport and lets me learn on her. :)
This week's photo contest theme on iheartfaces is Winter Wonderland. Since I've done so many photo shoots lately in the snow, this was a perfect theme! This was a picture I took just getting ready for my photo shoot. My sister Heidi was helping me figure out lighting and I loved the look she's giving right here. It was cold! :)
I was lucky during the holiday to have family in town... which meant more test subjects for me! :) It was new for me trying to take group family photos. I have a lot to learn about positioning families or multiple people, but they were great to let me practice on them! :)
So this was a challenge, but it was pretty fun too. We had a hard time scheduling this shoot with first no snow, then a blizzard on the day of the shoot, then kids getting sick, etc... but we finally got out there and I think it went pretty well. I loved taking these pictures with the red in it. :)
The theme of this challenge is self portrait. This is my first entry in one of these contests. One of my goals this upcoming year is to enter more pictures in these contests and hopefully get feedback and improve on areas I need to work on. :)
My parents finally let me take a couple pictures of them on Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful for everything they have done for me and all they have taught me. I needed pictures of family for a project I want to work on, I think these will work out great, thank you mom and dad! :)
I did these a little while ago, but realized how hard it is to try to take pictures of a baby by yourself. She wouldn't exactly smile at me, she just stared at the big camera in front of my face and looked at me confusedly. So these aren't the best, but oh well. :)
